Gold-Patinated Shell Plasterwork
A symbol of water, the origin of life, and creation itself. Crafted by artists and artisans from Granada, we present this magnificent Nasrid heraldry, made with pure lazurite (micronized lapis lazuli stone) using the traditional egg tempera technique. The gilding is done following the method used during the Nasrid period, always applying 24-karat gold leaf.
These exquisite stucco pieces, inspired by the Alhambra, are handcrafted by master artisans from Granada. Their delicate and captivating technique can be appreciated in the accompanying photographs.
The reproduction of these pieces is intentionally distinct from the original works found in the Alhambra. The aim is to create new designs that evoke the spirit of those historical masterpieces without imitating them directly. In this way, any form of artistic falsification is avoided, while introducing unique motifs that allow the viewer to feel immersed in the Alhambra—without actually being there.
As each piece is crafted individually by hand, slight variations may occur even within the same model.
