Made by artists, artisans from Granada, we present this magnificent framed piece of artwork made with pure lazulite (from refined lapislazuli) used with the egg tempera painting technique. The gold is made using techniques that date back to the Nazari time period, only using 24 karat gold leaf, the framing is always made from natural wood and polished with pure beeswax, to therefore give a delicate touch to each of our woods.
These magnificent pìeces of plaster work inspired by The Alhambra are known for being hand made by artesanal experts from Granada. You can truly appreciate their delicacy and the enchanting techniques used through the photos attached.
The reproduction of these pieces are quite distinctive from the original pieces that could be found in The Alhambra due to the techniques used to make newer designs that remind you of the works of art that can be found there. This way, the creation of false replicas is avoided and instead, new motifs are made that make the owners of these pieces feel as if they are in The Alhambra, even though they are not.
The manual and individualised refinement of these pieces can generate slight variation within the same model.
